The press conference after NPC Rieti-Bertram Derthona
Coach Ramondino wrote at the end of the game: "Congratulations to Rieti for the victory, deserved considering the half in which they played better than us. Ours was an undisciplined game, made up of many errors: at times, very little was enough to knock us out of the game. When you have the feeling of always being behind the opponent's choices, you develop the idea that every possession is decisive: when this happens for twenty-five minutes, you arrive worn out at the final stages of the game. Any unexcused absence affects the flow of the game: as happened during the preseason, Gaines had foul trouble and it will be up to us coaches to help him contain his reactions at certain points of the game. Rieti is a team that, with the possible exception of the match against Treviglio, has control of the match and the ability to find the right solutions and involve the players: this is a great merit as, even in difficult moments, it has the clarity of mind to be effective and limit the opponents' initial offensive options. The failure to pursue second and third options during an action combined Rieti's merits with our inability to move beyond first choices.
