Success for Bertram Derthona in the match at Basket Torino, valid for the second day of the Green Group of the LNP 2019 Old Wild West Super Cup and as the XIII edition of the 'Memorial Cima': the Bianconeri prevailed at the end of a very balanced and decisive match only in the final bars. The start of the match was characterized by the intensity put on the field by the two teams, capable of finding good offensive solutions: Bertram led the operations at the start, while the guests relied on Pinkins' streak. A triple from Alibegovic sets the score at 17 all after the first ten minutes. In the second half, coach Ramondino's team increased the score by relying on Gražulis' initiatives, which allowed them to reach a double-digit lead at 36-26 in the 17th minute. In the last minutes of the first half the favorable trend for Derthona continues, leading 47-38 at the break. Upon returning from the locker rooms comes the reaction from Torino, which raises the intensity of its defense and progressively reduces its gap, first finding parity at 53 with a triple from Alibegovic and then further extending thanks to baskets from outside, until reaching 55-61 at 28'. In the final minutes of the quarter the Bianconeri – thanks to baskets from De Laurentiis and Mascolo – had an impact on the game at 64 (in the 30th minute). In the last period the match flows on the edge of balance, in the game and in the score; Torino then regains the lead by two possessions (72-76 in the 36th minute) thanks to great precision in the free throws. The subsequent 5-0 entirely scored by Gaines resulted in the home team overtaking again at 77-76 and forced coach Cavina to stop the game: Alibegovic, with a triple, gave the guests the advantage at 78-79. Bertram leads again thanks to Tavernelli's 2/2 on the line five seconds from the end: the attacking foul called on Campani and the subsequent technical on Alibegovic close the match, which ends with the score of 83-79. Derthona will return to the field on Sunday 15 September 2019 at 18.00 pm at the Hype Forum to face Pallacanestro Biella.
