Defeat in the sprint for Bertram Derthona, at the end of a match that the Bianconeri led for large stretches of the first half. In the second half, Scafati took charge of the operations and the scoring and, in a balanced final, found success thanks to decisive baskets from Thomas and Goodwin. The start of the match was characterized by the great shooting precision of the two teams: Alibegovic - with three triples in a row - was the protagonist of the first minutes of the game, which saw Derthona lead 11-14 after four minutes. The balance in the scores between the two teams remained until the end of the first half, closed by a basket from Gergati: at 10' the Bianconeri led 25-29. After having reached the maximum advantage with Blizzard's triple (25-32) Derthona - also due to some turnovers and an unsportsmanlike call against Viglianisi - suffered a comeback from Scafati, who produced a 12-0 break which was worth overtaking at 37-32. After the time-out requested by coach Ramondino comes the reaction of Bertram, who raises the intensity of the defense and finds good solutions in attack, producing a partial which gives the Bianconeri the new advantage (38-45). The last minutes of the first half were in favor of the hosts, who with baskets from Rossato, Pavicevic and Passera found parity at 45 with which the two teams went into halftime. Upon returning from the locker rooms, Givova started better, led by an inspired Tavernari, author of three consecutive triples: at +8 (60-52) in the 25th minute, coach Ramondino was forced to interrupt the game. After Derthona's reaction - which returns to a 6-0 partial - Scafati once again returns to a three-possession margin: the half is closed by Bertone's free throws, following the unsportsmanlike penalty given to Pavicevic, which sets the score on 68-62 for coach Lardo's team. A 7-0 at the start of the last quarter was enough to overtake the guests (68-69 in the 32nd minute): the favorable moment for the Bianconeri also extended into the following possessions, with coach Lardo forced to stop operations after Spizzichini's basket (70 -73 at 33'). In the following minutes, Thomas and Goodwin are the offensive references for Givova, who find high percentage solutions and extend the lead to +5 in the 37th minute (80-75). The two Americans from the home team once again brought the lead to double figures (85-75): in the final, despite the guests' comeback attempts, coach Lardo's team maintained a safe margin and triumphed 88-82.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the match: ˝Congratulations to Scafati, who did well to produce the decisive breaks in a match in which there were many. We weren't able to have continuity from a defensive point of view, because we conceded 88 points after 95 on Sunday: we weren't able to make the most of our experience. In attack there were many good moments and some very bad ones that triggered Scafati's offensive game: the ups and downs condemned us. In a game in which we scored 82 points on the road despite 18 turnovers we should have put ourselves in a position to win the game and instead we didn't, so it's clear that in terms of priority we have to look at our defense˝.
