The 100% from three points in the overtime in Brescia forces Bertram Derthona, who finds Daum but has to give up Harper, the second consecutive defeat in the 2022/23 Serie A championship. The match flows in the name of balance for forty minutes, in which the Bianconeri find themselves chasing for large stretches, but overcoming every opponent's escape attempt. In extra time, the opponents' exceptional shooting precision made the difference in Germani's favor. On Wednesday 19 April, again at the PalaEnergica Paolo Ferraris, the Lions will face UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia (tape-ball at 20.30 pm).

Great offensive rhythm in the first moments of the match: the two teams alternate solutions in the first seconds of the action with more reasoned and choral ones. Brescia leads, with a minimal margin, right from the tip-off and closes ahead 20-24 in the 10th minute. The guests, driven by their precision in three-point shooting, widened their margin to double figures (31-41). In the final minutes, Bertram increases intensity in defense and closes the gap: at halftime Germani leads 39-43.

Upon returning from the locker rooms, Brescia produces a new sprint that is worth 45-55: at this point coach Ramondino opts for the quintet with three long players (Daum-Severini-Radošević) which pays the dividends - partial of 11-0 - which is worth the overtaking. At the end of the half, Brescia took the lead again (56-57) with two free throws from Petrucelli. At the beginning of the last period the percentages of the two teams drop, with Brescia still in command: great balance still reigns and thus a new sprint finish is reached. Derthona, with two consecutive triples from Christon and Daum, takes the lead (70-69) in the last 120 seconds, then Gabriel puts Germani ahead again. In the frantic final the team coached by Ramondino hits with a free throw from Christon; Nikolic's next game-winning shot misses. We go to overtime.

In extra time the team coached by Magro regains confidence with three-point shooting (three baskets by Gabriel) and escapes to 75-85 in the 43rd minute. Derthona tries to come back again, but Brescia rejects any recovery attempt and wins 77-90.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the race: “Congratulations to Brescia for the victory in a very tough match in which there were ups and downs. We struggled at various times to adapt to their very fast offensive pace, made up of the ability to play quickly and attack several times from the dribble in the same action. When, with the long threes and defensive changes, we broke their automatic mechanisms, we played an excellent match, putting ourselves in a position to win. On a character level, what we did in the second half is very important. Today our team did its best, producing the effort it could: we are not happy with either the result or the mistakes we make, but our general state did not lead us to be, tonight, the best team we can be.".
