Bertram looks to the future: Andrea Loro signed until 2028
Bertram Derthona continues its planning for the future, paying particular attention to the most interesting young people on the national scene. With this in mind, the Club announces that it has signed a long-term agreement five years with Andrew Loro, born in 2003, grew up in the youth sector of the Borgomanero College. Andrea will play the 2023/24 season on loan at another team.
CAREER – Born on 28 June 2003, Andrea grew up in the youth sector of the Borgomanero College, a team with which he also debuted in the first team. In 2020/21, with his performances, he contributed to the victory of the Under 18 regional Eccellenza championship, at the end of the final against novipiù Campus Piemonte. In the same year, with the first team in Serie C, he won promotion to Serie B following the victory against Messina in the promotion final.
In the following year, Loro was part of the roster of the first team playing in Serie B and of the Under 19 Eccellenza team which reached the category Scudetto final, losing against Stella Azzurra Roma. With Bertram Derthona, on loan from the College, he took part in the Pesaro stage of the IBSA Next Gen Cup 2022, finishing the three games played averaging 16.7 points and 9.3 rebounds.
In 2022/23 Andrea's role and performance in Serie B increased considerably: the winger born in 2003 ended the year with over 11 points and 7 rebounds per game. With the Under 19 Eccellenza College Borgomanero once again reached the category Scudetto final, also losing on this occasion against Stella Azzurra Roma. In the summer of 2023, Loro played the Under 20 EuroBasket with the Italy shirt, which finished the event in ninth place.
Now Andrea has signed a multi-year contract with Bertram Derthona to start a new chapter in his career.
