Test of great character from Bertram Derthona who, forced to give up Gergati and then Lydeka during the match, achieved a very important success against Trapani at the end of a match conducted right from the start. Start of the match in which Derthona found good solutions in the three-point shot and second opportunities from attacking rebounds: the offensive fluidity allowed the Bianconeri to produce the first break in the score (22-14 in the 7th minute after Bertone's triple) and forces coach Parente to stop the game. After having reached the double-digit lead, in the final half it was a 5-0 run entirely scored by Marulli that reduced the distance between the two teams (29-24 at 10'). Even in the second quarter, Bertram continues to maintain its margin, thanks to a great defensive intensity that limits the opponents' initiatives: in the last minutes of the first half, two triples from Ndoja once again give Derthona a double-digit lead (46-35 at 19'). The first twenty minutes are closed by Czumbel's triple which sets the score at 46-38. At the start of the second half, baskets from Bertone, Ndoja and Alibegovic, combined with great attention in the defensive half of the field, allowed coach Ramondino's team to extend the score (58-45 at 26'): coach Parente stopped the operations to interrupt the inertia favorable to the opponents. Coming out of the time-out comes the reaction of the Sicilians, who tighten their shirts in defense and rely on the plays of Clarke and Renzi to reduce their gap: the fraction is closed by baskets from Blizzard and Marulli, who set the score at 71 -62 in the 30th minute. In the first minutes of the last quarter, Trapani came closer by taking advantage of a complex moment in the Juventus attack, unlocked by a basket from Garri, which made it 73-66 in the 35th minute. Clarke and Renzi are once again keeping the Sicilians close in scoring: we enter the last two minutes of the game with Bertram ahead 79-75. Five consecutive points from Ndoja, and an attacking foul called against Pullazi, put three possessions between the two teams again (84-75 with 1'17" left before the siren) and forced coach Parente to ask for a time-out. Renzi is glacial on the line, but Blizzard responds with a stopped and shot basket: the subsequent goals of Miaschi and Ndoja keep the distance in the score between the two teams unchanged. The final sees Derthona triumph 89-82.
