Bertram Derthona's adventure in the IBSA Next Gen Cup 2023 ends with a very honorable defeat in the semi-final against VL Carpegna Prosciutto Papalini Pesaro. The Bianconeri, after fifteen balanced minutes, suffer the defensive aggression and the great physical and athletic ability of the opponents, capable of progressively digging the decisive break. Having reached such a prestigious goal, with victories against the best teams on the national youth scene, testifies to the great growth work done by the team coached by Ansaloni throughout the season.

Low scoring first quarter at PalaBarbuto: Pesaro takes command of the score right from the start and closes ahead 10-6 after 10'. The second quarter continues in the name of balance between the two teams, protagonists of partials and against partials: Pesaro then produces a new important acceleration towards the end of the first half which is worth the 34-23 of the interval.

Upon returning from the locker room, Bertram tries to stay in touch, but Pesaro uses the precision in her three-point shot to constantly maintain a lead of over double figures. In the final stages of the period, the Marche team closes the gap, closing ahead 52-33 in the 30th minute. In the last half Derthona found greater fluidity in attack and slowed down the opponent's attack with the zone: with two triples in a row from Biaggini the Lions returned to within double figures (58-49) in the 36th minute. In the final minutes Pesaro responds blow for blow to Bertram and reaches the final, winning 67-57.
