Second consecutive victory for Bertram Derthona who, without Ndoja, played a great offensive second half against Cassino, progressively increasing the score thanks to the play of an extraordinary Alibegovic, protagonist of the contest (author of his career high at 38 points). The Bianconeri overtake Siena in the standings and leave third from last place in the ranking. The match started in favor of Bertram, led by baskets from Bertone and Alibegovic: it was precisely after a basket from the latter that coach Vettese interrupted the game at 13-8 in the 5th minute. Coming out of the time-out Cassino found the advantage, at 15-16, with a partial of 0-8 also produced thanks to two triples by Mike Hall. The favorable moment for the guests continues in the following minutes and in the 10th minute Virtus leads 22-24. In the second half the guests continued to find good offensive solutions continuously, expanding their lead: Raucci's basket, which made it 25-32, forced coach Ramondino to stop the match. Coming out of the time-out, the Bianconeri tightened their defense and relied on long-range shots: it was with a triple from Blizzard that the home team regained the lead (38-36 in the 17th minute). In the final minutes the balance on the pitch remained, also certified by the score which saw the two teams tied at 45 in the 20th minute. Upon returning from the locker rooms, the Bianconeri took command of the operations, thanks to the three-point baskets by Bertone and Alibegovic which gave them a double-digit advantage (60-49 at 25'): Bertram's favorable moment also continued in the following possessions, which they still see Alibegovic as the absolute protagonist (69-52 at 28'). The third quarter ends with Derthona ahead 77-59. At the start of the final period the guests produce a break of 0-7 (0-11 counting the last possessions of the third quarter) which is worth 77-66: coach Ramondino stops the game. At the moment of Cassino's comeback, the Bianconeri once again rely on the three-point shot to repel the opponent's attempted return: the 6-0 scored by Alibegovic-Spizzichini is worth 85-71 in the 34th minute: this time it is coach Vettese who interrupts the operations. In the final Derthona contained the opponents' comeback attempts and widened their margin to 99-82 at the siren.
