Intensity and competitive spirit for forty minutes in Bertram Derthona's second scrimmage: at the PalaRegnani in Scandiano the team trained by coach Ramondino leads in the score for large stretches, suffers the comeback from Reggio Emilia in the central periods and then extends in the last quarter, giving encouraging signs in view of the next pre-season commitments.
Coach Ramondino confirms the same starting five (Christon, Harper, Macura, Daum, Radošević) from the first pre-season outing with Massagno also in the scrimmage with Reggio Emilia: after the balanced initial minutes, Derthona raises the pace and takes control of the score by closing ahead 17-28 the first 10'. In the second half comes the reaction of Reggio, which returns to a possession gap, before the new Juventus acceleration which makes it 39-49 at the interval.
Upon returning from the locker rooms, UNAHOTELS continues its progressive comeback, minute after minute, overtaking at the end of the quarter (63-61) with Anim's basket. In the final period, Bertram tightened her defense and placed the decisive break in attack, finding unanimous solutions. At the siren the final score is 79-88, the Lions will return to the field against Urania Milano on Wednesday 7 September at 20pm in Pavia for the 'Aldo Di Bella' Memorial.
