Success for Bertram Yachts Derthona, which can count on the return of Formenti and De Laurentiis, on the Capo d'Orlando pitch: the Juventus team directs the match from the first half, closing with a thirteen point lead, and manages the second half by winning the second consecutive victory after the one in the derby against Novipiù Casale. The match begins with the minute of silence, an infringement of 24 seconds and one of 8 seconds to celebrate the memory of Kobe Bryant: it is then Bertram Derthona who takes off better, finding good collective solutions that allow her to reach 10-18 of the 6th minute, forcing coach Sodini to stop the match. Coming out of the time-out Laganà closes the gap, before Sanders, Mascolo and Elmore set the score in the 10th minute at 20-27. In the second half Derthona further extended their margin, taking advantage of the plays of Martini, Mascolo and Severini, which made it 26-38 in the middle of the half. The guests continue to lead the match in terms of pace and scoring, managing to get a good contribution from all the players and progressively widening their margin until reaching +17 (32-49) in the 18th minute following the three-point play of Čepić. In the final stages of the first half the Lions kept their distance unchanged, maintaining a thirteen point lead (38-51). Upon returning from the locker rooms, Orlandina tries to close the gap with baskets from Lucarelli and Laganà, but Bertram is able to repel any attempt to return and extend further with Sanders (46-62 at 25') who forces coach Sodini to time out. The partial favorable to the Bianconeri continued in the following minutes, when with De Laurentiis' lay-up the team coached by Ramondino reached +23 (46-69); from that moment the home team reacts and scores a series of baskets which close the half at 56-74. The last quarter sees Orlandina further reduce their gap, reaching -13 (63-76) before Mascolo stops the partial and, with a basket, on the counterattack, seals the new +17 (63-80 in the 34th minute ). The Sicilian team, with determination, tries to stay in contact, but Derthona maintains a double-digit lead and control of the match until the final siren. The match ends with the score 75-88 in favor of the Lions.
