Bertram Derthona's adventure in the 2022 Frecciarossa Supercoppa ends in the semi-final: the team trained by coach Ramondino, at the end of a very balanced match conducted for large stretches, is beaten in the final moments by Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari. The Bìanconeri's next match will be on Sunday 2 October at 17pm at the PalaEnergica Paolo Ferraris against Dolomiti Energia Trentino in the match valid for the 1st day of the 2022/23 Serie A.

Very balanced first period at PalaLeonessa A2A: the two teams find good offensive solutions, Derthona in Daum (11 p) and Christon (8 p) its main goalkeepers to close the opening 23 minutes ahead 19-10. In the second half the match continues at the same pace, with the team coached by coach Ramondino who is very present in the offensive rebound, securing and converting extra possessions to maintain a minimum margin of advantage for a large part of the quarter, before Onuaku's free throw in the final seconds impact the first 20' at an altitude of 44.

Upon returning from the locker rooms, Bertram tries to give a new boost to the score, again led by Christon and Daum in attack, but Sassari remains in contact: at the third buzzer the Bianconeri lead 63-61. The last half is thrilling, possession after possession: neither of the two teams manages to break the balance and the final minute reaches the tie at 81 points. Dinamo loses the ball, Harper is glacial on the line, but the subsequent basket three points from Bendzius is worth the new overtaking. Bertram has two chances to win the match, but Christon first makes a mistake and is then stopped by Onuaku at the siren.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the race: “Congratulations to Sassari for the victory: it was a very hard-fought and balanced match in which we tried to raise our level of continuity in the match. Our moments of confusion and lack of clarity were paid very dearly, because when we took a good lead by playing well we were unable to maintain the margin. We were very undisciplined from a defensive point of view when we were in the bonus, giving Sassari the opportunity to find easy points on the line, while in attack we didn't make good offensive executions with the second quintet. These are the things that cost us the match. However, we did a lot of good things offensively, with dynamic solutions, and on defense – in the last minutes – we made a lot of good plays on their pick'n'roll and internal play. Macura and Tavernelli still work separately, based on how they respond to the reactivation we evaluate the timing for reintegration into the team. From a general point of view we are a little behind what we expected after a month and a half, but today I entered the match with the curiosity to see: the team played hard, very well, with more positive things than negative ones. ”.
