The first European adventure in the history of Bertram Derthona ends in Game 2 of the BCL Play-Ins. In Istanbul, the team coached by De Raffaele chased from the start, never managing to complete the comeback despite several attempts made in the forty minutes.

In the last quarter, Derthona, raising the intensity of their defense, returned to -8 again (79-71) with Obasohan's basket, before Kabaca - from three points - brought Galatasaray's margin back to double figures. We hoped to have the chance to have another opportunity, but we had a bad impact on a physical level. We managed to get back into the game a couple of times, expending a lot of energy, but we weren't able to score the decisive baskets to close the gap further. I believe that we must have something from all the players, and this does not always happen at the moment: it is necessary that everyone contributes to the best of their ability.".
