K-Sport and Derthona Basket together to improve the performance of the Lions
Founded by Mirko Marcolini in 2005 in the academic field at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bologna, K sport deals with the research and development, on a scientific basis, of highly innovative and technologically advanced methodologies and tools that assist sports professionals – in particular coaches, athletic trainers and technical staff, but also players, observers, managers and the media – allowing them to carry out their work in an increasingly timely and effective manner.
In recent years, K-Sport technologies have been used by the most important teams and federations in the world, starting with the Italian national football and rugby teams, and by numerous research and university centers. Thanks to strategic agreements with important commercial partners, the group currently supplies its products/services to over 500 elite sports clubs around the world.
In the partnership agreement with the black and white club, K-Sport has provided the athletes of Bertram Derthona of the K-AI Wearable Tech Device, devices for tracking and monitoring athletes. Athletic trainers Andrea Baldi and Francesco Murru can therefore collect various data that can be used to monitor work during training and the constant evaluation of the players' condition.
K-Sport will be an active part as a tool for evaluating and improving the performance of the Lions for three seasons following a partnership agreement to June 2027.
