Justin Tuoyo is a new player for Bertram Derthona

Bertram Derthona communicates that he has hired Justin Tuoyo, center of 208 cm, coming from Egis Kormend (Hungary), with whom he played in the championship and in the Fiba Europe Cup.

Born on June 18th 1994 a Fayetteville (Georgia), began his collegiate career in Virginia Commonwealth University, crossing paths with another player who passed through Tortona, Melvin Johnson.
In the summer of 2013 he chose to transfer to the university of Chattanooga, serving a season without competitive commitments in compliance with NCAA regulations: he returned to the field in 2014/15, completing a season averaging 10.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.3 blocks.
His production grew over the next two seasons (11.1 points in 2015/16, 13.6 points with 6.6 rebounds in 2016/17), which also lead to the conclusion of the university course with a degree in Sports Management.

His path European was short but significant, with a double experience in the Hungarian championship and in Fiba Europe Cup (17 games, 25', 10 points and 5 rebounds), where they faced Reyer Venezia in the round of XNUMX.

This is Coach's presentation Lorenzo Pansa: “We are adding a fresh player with great athleticism to a complete and experienced team, capable of covering both roles in the forward department. In college he demonstrated significant toughness and presence inside the area, while in his Hungarian experience he added an important perimeter threat, raising his shooting percentages and demonstrating great passing quality. Justin's choice is linked to the qualities he has demonstrated in an important competition like the Fiba Europe Cup and to the potential and growth projections of such a young and ambitious player."
