Janko Cepic is a new player for Bertram Derthona
Bertram Derthona is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Janko Cepic, an Italian-trained Montenegrin winger born in 99 who has played for Mens Sana Siena in the last four seasons.
CAREER – Born on 09/06/1999 in Kotor, Montenegro (MNE), Cepic took his first steps in the youth sector of KK Primorje. Having arrived in Italy and Siena in the 2015/16 season, he was part of the rosters of the Under 18 and Under 20 teams of the Tuscan team. In the 2018/19 season Janko also played in the Serie A2 championship always with the same shirt.
The winger also boasts important experiences with the Montenegro youth national teams, with whom he took part in the Under 16 European Championships in 2015, a tournament in which he averaged 2.8 points. Two years later he finished in thirteenth place in the Under 18 EuroBasket, an event in which he scored 7.1 points per game to which he added 3.1 rebounds. Cepic, with Montenegro, is currently busy preparing for the Under 20 European Championships which will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel, from 13 to 21 July 2019.
Thus Miro De Giuli, Sporting Director of Bertram Derthona: ʺ Let's insert a young athlete, who has already had the opportunity to play important minutes and matches during his Sienese adventure: the experience that Cepic has accumulated is a significant aspect that will allow him to enter the interior rotations with more security. Janko is a dynamic big man capable of hitting shots from outside; together with him we will work to improve his internal game and increase his versatility. He fits into a young and ambitious team in which his contribution must be technical and at the same time in terms of intensity and enthusiasm.ʺ.
These are the first words of Janko Cepic: ʺI am very happy to start this new experience in an ambitious club like Bertram Derthona. After four years in Siena I want to try a new adventure in a different company that allows me to continue my growth path. I can't wait to start working with my teammates to achieve all possible goals.
