INTERVIEW WITH MICHELE BORGHI: WORK IS A SOCIAL PACT BETWEEN PEOPLE

“There is no day that can be defined as the right day”. It is the maxim that has inspired Michele since the foundation of his company in 2012. Staff SpA The Employment Agency, from the beginning and for every day of activity, intends its mandate as a true social mission for people and territories. The numbers help to understand the entrepreneurial project and the social impact that the 200 employees of Staff SpA they are able to produce in the regions and provinces where the company has offices, currently 38, complete with territorial and commercial managers, trained on the specific needs of the areas. A number that makes Michele particularly proud: 30% of workers hired on temporary contracts become permanent. And the sector already has 120.000 workers hired on permanent contracts. “Working doing your job well is rewarding, but when you do good, it's exciting.” He says it without boasting, with the simple pride of someone who, for ten years, has been working in a complex market, often indicated as primarily responsible for the "precariat". The approach that Michele, however, brought with Staff SpA, and which has also been awarded to him with important titles and awards including Champions of Growth 2023 and Welfare Champion 2022, solves a systemic and long-standing problem, "undeclared work", through regular labor supply contracts that allow companies to satisfy temporary needs with the flexibility and efficiency required by the competitiveness of the market, in full respect of workers' rights. The start and end of the employment contract, combined with the certainty of the economic conditions, are the characteristics that define any "contract work" proposed by Staff SpA, protecting entrepreneurs and workers and building the foundations for the evolution of the relationship. The commitment that the company makes is in particular dictated by understanding the characteristics of the worker and matching them with the needs of the company in the research phase. “This is what an intermediary for work is needed for and I am happy with what has happened in these ten years”. The key word for acting in terms of a social pact with the country is respect: both for people who need dignity, opportunity and protection, of legality even when it imposes restrictive rules, of wages that are aligned with the market but also with needs of individuals and families, of entrepreneurship, both of customers and of Staff SpA On this point, Michele invokes an often disused value: common sense, as the sum of experience and reasonableness. Inside the company, they mean minimal bureaucracy and flat organization… for real.
