After five games of fasting, Gulliver Supermercati Derthona starts again by returning to victory and does so away in Turin, on the Don Bosco Crocetta field by 57-52, in the seventh day of the Division A Conference North-West of the Serie B Interregionale championship.
Balanced start between the two teams, despite the mini partial imposed by the home team. But thanks to the entry on the court of Pietro Lisini, who after a year from the injury returns to score with two consecutive triples, the black and white team takes the lead close to the siren of the end of the quarter, 15-16. The second period starts in the best way for Derthona, an excellent defense and the consequent numerous turnovers of the opponents open a partial of 8-0 with the baskets of Josovic to extend the margin and force the home team to call a time-out. At the long break the black and white team is ahead by 7 points, 22-29.
Coach Ansaloni's boys return to the field with the same energy they showed in the first two quarters, taking a double-digit lead for the first time. However, their control of the game doesn't last long: defensive lapses and hasty attacks influence the important partial of 13-3 by Crocetta, led by Villar, the best scorer of the quarter for the home team, who manage to impose their game, recovering the entire gap and closing the third quarter tied at 39.
The last 10 minutes of the game start in total balance, with partials and counter-partials, always remaining around the advantage point until the end of the game. The last minute is decisive, with the black and white team ahead by only one point Crocetta loses the first opportunity to tie the game, thus starting the lottery of free throws after tactical fouls to try everything. Lisini makes 2/2 from the free throw line and puts Gulliver at one possession of advantage. The last opportunity is for the home team, but Cissè's foul sends Hida to the free throw line, the home player misses both free throws putting an end to Crocetta's hopes, forced to suffer the internal knockout and to be overtaken in the standings at 6 points by Derthona.
The black and white Lions will return to the field next Friday on the home parquet of the PalaCamagna in Tortona, for the derby against Junior Libertas Casale at 20:45 pm.
