Bitter away match for Gulliver Supermercati Derthona, who fell on the field of BC Servizi Basket Aretina on the third day of the return leg of the Play-in Gold of the Interregional B Series.
The black and white team, led by coach Ansaloni, approached the match with great determination, managing to maintain control of the game for most of the time with a double-digit advantage. Derthona, however, suffered greatly from the Tuscan advance in the last quarter of the game with an important partial of 20-9 in favor of the home team, which overturned the fate of the match condemning the Tortona team to defeat.
Despite the bitter epilogue, Gulliver showed good game plans, relying in particular on the quartet composed of Gatti, Farias, Bellinaso and Aprile, offensive protagonists of the evening for the black and whites.
With this result, Gulliver's hopes of returning to the top eight teams, a position that would have guaranteed access to the promotion play-offs, are dashed.
The next match for Gulliver Supermercati Derthona will be on Saturday 12th April at home against Consorzio Leonardo Quarrata, with tip-off set for 18:00.
