Il Gulliver Supermarkets Derthona obtains a fundamental victory on the Collegno pitch, gaining two very important points for the standings, in the match of the third return day – fourteenth overall – of the championship Interregional Serie BThe black and white team reaches 10 points in Division A of the North-West Conference, drawing level with Collegno and Seagulls Genova in eighth place, the latter with a game in hand.
The game starts in perfect balance, with both teams scoring without managing to take control of the score, with the first quarter ending 13 all. In the second period Collegno tries to impose itself thanks to the excellent performance of Castellino, managing to take the lead. However, Gulliver Derthona reacts with a partial of 12-0, overturning the score and going into the locker rooms with a 38-31 lead.
Upon returning to the field, the game continues to have no master, with both teams determined not to concede anything. Farias, the best scorer of the quarter with 9 points (3/6 from the field), leads the black and white attack and allows the team to maintain a lead of 6 at the end of the third period. In the last Collegno tries to come back, closes to -1, but Gulliver responds promptly and takes home the precious final 64-60.
Gulliver Supermercati Derthona will return to the field this Friday at the PalaCamagna in Tortona for another direct clash, at 20:45 against Seagulls Genova.
