Defeat at Taliercio for Bertram Derthona, at the end of a race with a high level of intensity and spectacle. The team coached by Ramondino played on par with their opponents for over thirty-five minutes, only giving in at the end to the talent and baskets of Bramos. The Lions' next match will be Sunday 16 April at 18pm at PalaEnergica against Germani Brescia.

First period with high offensive gears for both teams, who find great fluidity and continuity in their shooting solutions. Moraschini and Christon (author of three consecutive triples), with 9 points each, were the main leaders of a quarter which ended in a draw at 25 points. In the second half the intensity of the match increased further and, at the same time, the percentages dropped: In the middle of the half, Venezia takes the lead in scoring by taking advantage of the trips to the line, but Bertram rejects any attempt to reach the opponent. The end of the first half sees a new offensive breakthrough from both teams: Granger's basket sends Venezia ahead 49-47 at halftime.

Upon returning from the locker rooms, a burst from Spissu (8 points) pushes Venezia to +10 (59-49) in the 22nd minute, forcing coach Ramondino to stop the match. Macura, with some good initiatives, closes the gap, before Granger tries to place a new lead. Five straight points from Radošević and free throws again from Granger close the quarter at 70-63. The competitive spirit of the match increases in the final period and Bertram takes advantage of the strength of Radošević and Christon to reduce the distance again (73-70) in the 34th minute. Then Bramos' baskets - without any points for the first three quarters - sealed the home team's new and decisive advance, which won 89-80.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the race: “Congratulations to Venice for the victory at the end of a very balanced and tough match, with high contents from a technical, tactical and strategic point of view. We played and interpreted the match well and I believe that two aspects were fundamental in directing the match: the first was their ability to earn many free throws, 20, in the first half, and the second were the great plays of Brooks and Bramos who messed things up on the pitch in the last few minutes".
