Derthona supports the 'Friends of the 4th Floor' Association
Attention to the growth of the youngest children, the miniathletes, is one of the cornerstones of the daily activity of Derthona Basket, which has always been ready to promote the positive values of the world of sport and, in particular, of basketball.
The company, interested in establishing partnerships with local excellence, has found the same attention for young people in'Friends of the 4th Floor' Association, founded in 2013 by Alessandro Baldi, which is responsible for brightening the days of children suffering from leukemia hospitalized in the department pediatric oncohematology ofSan Matteo Hospital in Pavia.
The Association organizes creative workshops in the ward and also supports the children outside the hospital itself, going to the families' homes to support all those young people who, following the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, have not been able to return to school.
In recent years, visits to the hospital have been organized for children who have been discharged following post-Covid-19 isolation.Genova's aquarium and Gardaland, while the organization of a listening group with psychologists for parents who have lost children.
The 'Friends of the 4th Floor' Association is a group of volunteers who, since its inception, has provided financial help to the hospital department for purchases and supports research (such as the cell factory, the stem cell factory). To raise funds for his business he created a project every year calendar, which this year will also find the support of Derthona Basketball, through the affixing of the Club logo.
With the Christmas holidays approaching, the club and the 'Friends of the 4th Floor' intend to organize a calendar sale event on the occasion of the home match againstUmana Reyer Venice (two-ball Saturday 18 December at 20.00 pm at the PalaEnergica Paolo Ferraris in Casale Monferrato).
