Derthona strengthens: here is Matteo Graziani
Bertram Yachts Derthona announces that it has reached an agreement with Matteo Graziani, a guard born in 2000 who wore the Eurobasket Roma jersey last season.
CAREER – Born in Livorno on 25 May 2000, Graziani played in the youth sector at the historic Don Bosco Livorno, the club with which he reached the Under 18 National Finals in 2018, an event that ended with defeat in the quarter-finals against Virtus Roma (then beaten in the final by Stella Azzurra Roma in an all-Capitol derby).
Matteo also played in the Serie C championship with the Don Bosco first team, showing off with good performances and ending the year averaging 12 points. In 2018/19 he began the season in the Assigeco Piacenza shirt - a team playing in the East Group of the Serie A2 Old Wild West championship - before moving to Cecina, in Serie B, where he concluded the year. In the 2019/20 season he returned to Serie A2 wearing the Eurobasket Roma jersey, averaging 2.5 points in the 23 games played with the Roman team.
Graziani also played the entire youth national team, participating in the Friendship Tournament in 2015 with the Under 15 shirt, in the Under 16 Eurobasket the following year (event finished in seventh place by Italy), and in the prestigious Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Mannheim in 2018, a tournament concluded in third place by the Azzurri thanks to the success over Russia in the bronze final. Matteo completed the youth national team with some call-ups for the Under 20 team.
Now he comes to Bertram Yachts Derthona to start a new chapter in his career.
