Bertram Derthona leaves the Virtus Segafredo Arena defeated, at the end of a match in which the team coached by coach Ramondino always chased in the scores. The Lions tried several times - in each half - to get back under double figures and into the game, but Bologna, with clarity, rejected all attempts at a comeback and achieved success.

Complex first quarter of the match for Bertram, who suffered the offensive aggression of Virtus, who reached the double-digit lead after 7 minutes (24-10). In the final stages of the half, Derthona closed the gap to 29-17. In the second set the team coached by Ramondino raises the level of their game, further reducing the gap to -7 (35-28). In the following moments, Bologna produced a new acceleration that made it 47-36 at the break.

Upon returning from the locker room, baskets from Cordinier and Mickey produced a new lead for the home team, who increased their maximum advantage several times, up to +20 (68-48). In the final minutes, Bertram tries to come back, but Virtus maintains control: in the 30th minute it's 72-54. In the final period, Derthona showed great energy and reached -13 on several occasions, but Bologna – with their precision in their three-point shots – preserved and expanded their margin. In the last minutes Virtus widens the gap again until the siren reaches 99-70.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the race: “Congratulations to Virtus for the victory they deserved for how they played. Today we were unable to have a physical impact on the match which is essential to compete against such a strong team. We have always been one step behind them, the impression is that we have always chased what Virtus was doing".
