Derthona in Pink for the Centenary Giro d'Italia!

Orsi Derthona Basket will be the protagonist of some celebratory initiatives of the Centenary Giro d'Italia, which will see the pink caravan arrive in Tortona on May 19th, 28 years after the last time, and depart from Castellania, birthplace of the champion Fausto Coppi, the next day.
For the occasion, a special pink overshirt was created - designed by the Juventus club itselfinergy with the technical partners Errea and Cantieri Sportivi, with the fundamental collaboration of RCS, the organizing company of the Corsa Rosa, and the Municipality of Tortona - which the Lions will wear on Saturday evening in the last match of the regular season, scheduled for 20.30pm at PalaOltrePo' against Remer Treviglio.
The overshirt will be revealed on Wednesday morning, during the visit organized at the Mausoleum of Castellania, in the presence of the sports councilor of the Municipality of Tortona, Vittoria Colacino, and the Mayor of Castellania, Sergio Vallenzona. In addition to the pink color, the special overshirt features the "Tortona Città di Tappa" logo on the chest and a special graphic that recalls the cyclists' numbering on the back.

Thus Luigino Fassino, CEO of Derthona Basket:
“For me, who saw Fausto Coppi race in Tortona and have been a huge cycling fan since I was a child, this initiative is the best we could do to honor the return of the Giro d'Italia to Tortona. We already feel the excitement for the arrival of the Giro and are honored to have had the opportunity to bring this pairing to fruition. On behalf of the entire company, I sincerely thank Errea, Cantieri Sportivi, RCS and the Municipality of Tortona for having actively collaborated in the success of this project."
