Success for Bertram Yachts Derthona, still without captain Tavernelli, in the last match of the Green Group of the Centenario Super Cup. After a balanced first half, the Lions raise the intensity of their game and progressively move forward, imposing themselves on Pallacanestro Biella. Balance on the pitch in the first minutes of the game: Severini, Sanders, Cannon and Laganà move the score (10-9 after 3'). Bertram continues to lead the game in scoring, pushed again by Cannon and Fabi, but Biella finds some three-point plays that allow her to stay in touch: in the 10th minute the score is 25-20. In the second half, after the first balanced minutes, a 5-0 scored by Fabi creates the first break of the match: coach Squarcina interrupts the game at 32-24 in the 13th minute. Coming out of the time-out, the guests increased the intensity of their defense and found good offensive solutions: Miaschi's basket brought Biella just one possession away (38-36 in the 17th minute). At the end of the first half, baskets from Cannon and Fabi widen the margin again in favor of Derthona, who lead 20-46 in the 38th minute. Upon returning from the locker rooms, Sanders and Cannon update the maximum advantage of the team coached by Ramondino (53-40 at 24'), a gap that is further widened by Mascolo and Morgillo, who find good offensive solutions. A penetrating basket by Bertetti closes the third quarter, which ends with the score 61-49. A 6-0 by Gazzotti-Sanders opens the final period: coach Squarcina stops the match in the 31st minute with Bertram ahead 67-49. The favorable moment for the Bianconeri also continues in the subsequent stages of the match; Sanders' triple makes it 74-53 in the 34th minute (maximum lead in the match). Derthona in control of the pace and the score even in the final: the match ends with a score of 83-72. The next match will see the Bianconeri involved in a scrimmage against Urania Milano on Saturday 31 October scheduled for 17.30pm.
