Third victory in as many European matches for Bertram Derthona, who leads against Igokea from the tap-off, progressively expanding their margin in the first three quarters. In the last half, the Bianconeri resisted their opponent's return and remained undefeated at the end of the first round of Group H of the BCL.

Decisive first quarter in attack for Bertram, who takes advantage of her three-point shooting precision (4/5), guarantees herself extra possessions with offensive rebounds and finds great continuity to extend up to 30-21 in the 10th minute, sealed by the triple of Straūtins at the end. In the second half Derthona continues to produce good initiatives, maintaining their lead and extending it. At the end, Igokea reacted and closed the gap to 46-37.

Upon returning from the changing rooms, the match continues on the same tracks, with the team coached by Ramondino leading the operations. Minute after minute, action after action, the Bianconeri consolidated their control over the match, closing the gap up to +19 (72-53) at the third siren. In the final period, Bertram suffered a progressive comeback from Igokea, who reached -6 (84-78) with 90 seconds to go. Thus a new sprint finish takes place at PalaEnergica, in which Candi's offensive rebound and Dowe's free throw keep the Lions ahead by two possessions (85-80) with 24 seconds left. The subsequent trips to the line allow Derthona to win 91-84.

Thus Leonardo Candi at the end of the race: “For us it was a huge victory, because we demonstrated that we can compete at this level even if with reduced rotations”.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the race: “We are very happy with the victory especially with the way we played. We played very well for almost the entire match, we moved the ball and created the shots we wanted. For most of the forty minutes we had a double-digit lead and, when Igokea made a partial, we did well to resist.".
