Derthona, with clarity, wins the final of the “Lovari”: defeat Pesaro

Final won at the eighth edition of Lovari Trophy for Bertram Derthona, who in the first semi-final led in scoring from the start against VL Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro, resisting their opponents' comeback attempts. Tomorrow, at 21pm at the PalaTagliate in Lucca, the match against the winner between Umana Reyer Venezia and the newly promoted Pistoia Basket.
The match started at a high pace for both teams, who found good offensive solutions. The Lions then, driven by Baldasso's triples, reach a double-digit lead (26-14). In the second quarter comes the reaction of Pesaro who tries to reverse the negative partial and reduce the gap with Tambone's plays. Derthona adapts, takes advantage of the aggressive defense to find easy solutions on the counterattack and ends the first half leading 38-27.
Upon returning from the locker rooms, the pace drops on both halves of the court and the teams struggle to find the way to the basket for almost 5 minutes. Bertram is imprecise but Pesaro doesn't take advantage of it and remains at a distance (42-51) at the third siren.
In the last quarter, the team coached by Buscaglia comes into contact several times, thanks to some talented initiatives, but the Bianconeri maintain the lead in scoring and, with coolness and experienced play, prevail 61-68.
