Bertram Derthona wins and convinces in the first match of the ninth day of the Serie A championship. At the AGSM Forum, home of the newly promoted Tezenis Verona, the team coached by coach Ramondino starts well, drops in the second quarter but then grows in the second half, imposing the own game on both sides of the pitch and finding many different protagonists over the 40' (5 players in double figures). The Lions' next match will be Saturday 10 December at 20.30 pm at PalaEnergica against Dinamo Sassari.

Coach Ramondino fields Christon, Harper, Macura, Daum and Cain. The Bianconeri started off strong, forcing Verona to time out after 2 and a half minutes of play (0-6). Tezenis tries to get closer with the plays of Holman and Cappelletti, but taking advantage of the home team's turnovers, Bertram widens their gap: the quarter ends on +11 (14-25).

In the second period the hosts increase in intensity, push on the accelerator and, led by Cappelletti and Anderson, first impact the match and then take the lead (44-38).

Upon returning from the long break, the Lions found greater fluidity in attack and, driven by the offensive verve of Christon and Macura, took the lead again. Anderson and Bortolani try to respond but Radosevic's last basket is worth +7 after 30 minutes (61-68).

In the first part of the final period Bertram further widened the gap thanks to the plays of Radosevic and Harper, reaching +15 in the middle of the quarter. In the final minutes the Bianconeri reached their maximum lead (+23) which they managed with clarity and character to achieve their seventh victory in the championship 80-102.

Thus coach Ramondino at the end of the race"It's a very important victory for us, away. We played a good game, with consistency and doing good things on both sides of the pitch and this is a very important aspect. I think that for 3 out of 4 quarters (the first, third and last) we played really very well, with continuity, moving the ball, making the right choices, defending and finding a good contribution from everyone. In the second quarter we played in a hasty manner, going a little behind Verona and, beyond their real ability to implement some of our hasty choices, it was our way of playing that raised the pace of the match, ignited Verona and increase the number of opponent possessions. In the second half we had a much greater and very important contribution from all the players, even those who came off the bench, and this allowed us to be able to increase our shots during the last two quarters and win by an important margin which, in the end, it doesn't really reflect the performance of our opponents".
