Bertram Derthona visits the pediatric department in Voghera

A representation of Bertram Derthona players and managers visited the pediatric department of the Voghera civil hospital late this afternoon. Accompanied by the head physician, Dr. Chiara, Captain Garri and their companions gave the little hospitalized children the stuffed animals collected during the Teddy Bear Toss last December 23rd, also donating a special mastosutore purchased by our Club thanks to the offers of fans and managers.

Thus Marco Picchi, General manager of Bertram Derthona: “I thank Doctor Chiara who has given us maximum availability since the first contact. I had the pleasure of getting to know you on a professional but also personal level and I am happy that you followed our project. We are professionals but we have an important social role and the possibility of putting our name and our activity next to Voghera pediatrics is a source of great pride and satisfaction. We chose to purchase a truly useful tool with the thought of helping a mother and this, thanks to the launch of the soft toys and the help of our fans, makes us feel good. I can already anticipate that the Teddy Bear Toss will be proposed again next season: we are happy with the welcome and the responses that Voghera has also given us and we are proud to be able to give something back even through these small gestures".

The General Director of the ASST of Pavia Michele Brait also spoke:
“I enthusiastically welcome this gesture of generosity. Sport is important because it develops a sense of team, gives health, and today it means generosity: the commitment on the field was echoed by a social commitment that today makes us very proud. The little ones and their parents come to the ward when they are in need and any help is always welcome to accompany the children as they grow”.

Doctor Alberto Chiara, head of pediatrics, then wanted to extend his thanks: “I sincerely thank you for your thoughts and for the donation made. Breast milk is a unique food and it is essential for us to be able to count on tools of this type to accompany the growth process."
