With a great second half the Lions managed to conquer the PalaFacchetti in Treviglio for the first time in their short history in Serie A2, beating the hosts 71-81. Bertram Derthona manages to change the momentum of the match after a first half played below its potential, raising the defensive intensity and speeding up the attacking maneuver. This led to a general increase in percentages, especially from long range, thus fueling the 12-28 run which, in the third quarter, allowed the Juventus team to overtake and lead.
In particular, it is the break between the 25th and 30th minute (4-11, for the final 46-56) that directs a match that in the last ten minutes Derthona was able to manage with great clarity, demonstrating a decisive step forward compared to on the first day of the championship last Saturday. The credit goes to the rotations of coach Pansa, who this time was deprived of Quaglia due to a muscular problem, and above all to the Juventus team, with five players in double figures and an attentive and continuous defense throughout the match.
In the final minutes Bertram managed to contain the last attacks of Marino and Voskuil (60-65 at 35'), responding with the same coin thanks to Radonjic and Garri, capable of bringing the Juventus advantage back to over double figures in the space of a handful of seconds.

In the first half of the match, after a balanced start, it was Marino and the sixth man Pecchia who scored a small break in favor of Remer, who was then able to reach +6 with Mezzanotte's triple at the first quarter siren. Derthona returned in the heart of the second period, but ended up trailing again by 6 points at halftime (34-28 at 20′). Then the turning point, thanks to the presence of the big men (Garri and Sorokas protagonists in double doubles), and the mental presence of the Juventus guards, three of them in double figures (Johnson 16, Mei and Spanghero 11). But today, beyond the numbers, it was the collective that made the difference and gave Bertram Derthona the first away victory of their season.

Lorenzo Pansa: “I'm happy with the defensive impact he made on the pitch when he returned from the locker room after the break. Today we showed our best and our worst. In the first two quarters we played at a slow pace, demonstrating that we cannot ignore the energy to play our basketball. In the second half we were good at creating from the low post to open the field and finish from three points: this, together with the newfound team defense, was the key to the second part of the match and to our victory."
