Bertram Derthona falls on Sicilian soil against Lighthouse Trapani 87-74, at the end of a hard-fought match but in which the Lions were unable to stem the home team's desire for redemption. Against a team fresh from the change of coach - from Ducarello to deputy Parente - and without captain Garri due to a back problem, Derthona started very strong, driven by Melvin Johnson's 15 points in the first quarter, and maintained their balance until at 25'. Then, under the blows of Jefferson and Renzi, the Bianconeri were no longer able to keep up with the very strong pace of their opponents.

Excellent start for Bertram Derthona thanks to a ruthless Melvin Johnson who, in the early stages of the game, makes 3/3 from long range immediately scoring the break for the Lions at 9-0. Trapani initially shows some difficulty in stemming the offensive ends put on the parquet by coach Pansa,
but it has the merit of at least remaining in contact. Johnson and Sorokas continue to score; on the other hand, for the Granata, the answers came from Jefferson, Ganeto and Renzi, with a 7-0 break that forced coach Pansa to call a time-out. The last basket of the quarter comes from Quaglia's hands a few moments before the siren. The first quarter ends 22-26 for Bertram Derthona. In the second period Quaglia again offers continuity to the Tortona offensive maneuver, but the Lions struggle to respond to the continuous assaults of Jefferson and Renzi, which create the conditions for the Lighthouse overtaking, signed by Mollura. Radonjic's final triple sends the Lions down three points at halftime (42-39).
Trapani struck at the start of the third quarter, Renzi and Jefferson extended the lead and, thanks to a technical to Johnson, brought the home team's lead to double figures (60-49), a figure repeated at the end of the period at 67-56.

Derthona shortens at the start of the final period with Johnson (69-63), but Lighthouse once again makes a loud statement under the basket and leaves the Lions no escape, under the blows of Renzi, Jefferson and Viglianisi in the final. Trapani thus interrupts the negative streak by beating Bertram Derthona 87-74.
