The Lions support the AIRC women: a special overshirt against Biella
Attention to social issues has always been a primary interest for Derthona Basket, ready to take to the field to support important causes at a local and national level. With this in mind, the Club has decided to create a special overshirt, which will be worn by the first team in the match against Biella on Sunday 25 October 2020, scheduled for 18pm at the PalaOltrepò in Voghera, on which a pink Lion is drawn on the chest and the pink ribbon of the AIRC (Italian Association for Cancer Research) at the top.
An initiative promoted by the AIRC Foundation, which in October 2020 launched the #NastroRosaAIRC campaign aimed at raising public awareness and showing full support and closeness to women affected by breast cancer, the most widespread neoplasm in women.
The initiative, spread across the entire national territory, began on October 1st with the pink lighting of hundreds of buildings and monuments throughout Italy and continued with a series of events throughout the month. The objective of the AIRC Foundation is to assist and support all women in their care and in the realization of their life plans.
For this reason, Bertram Yachts Derthona also takes to the field, to join the team, with a special overshirt on the occasion of the last match of the Green Group of the Supercoppa Centenario, against Edilnol Biella on Sunday 25 October 2020.
