The Green Group of the Serie A2 Old Wild West championship begins with a victory for Bertram Yachts Derthona who, against Pallacanestro Trapani, leads the match right from the start, progressively extending their margin up to 57-85 at the final siren. Coach Ramondino chooses Mascolo, together with Sanders, Fabi, Severini and Cannon in the first outing of the season: the first minutes of the Juventus championship are very balanced, thanks to a series of talented initiatives from the players on the pitch (9-9 at 4') . In the subsequent stages of the match, the Bianconeri produced the first break of the match thanks to two triples by Fabi and a penetration by Sanders (13-21 at 7'), then fueled by Ambrosin's basket from outside which closed the first quarter: at 10' the Lions lead 15-26. At the start of the second half, Severini and Tavernelli, with three points, widened the Juventus margin (18-32 at 12') before Trapani's reaction, which produced a 6-0 run to close the score (24-32). Six consecutive points from Cannon and a basket from outside by Severini - the first player to reach double figures - push the Lions to their maximum advantage (26-41 at 18'): coach Parente stops the game again. At the end of the first half, Cannon and Tavernelli once again give energy to the visitors' break: at the interval Bertram ahead 29-47. Mascolo and Fabi opened the third quarter of the game, with a partial of 2-10 which made it 31-57 in the 24th minute, then fueled by Cannon who updated the maximum lead to 31-61 in the 25th minute. At the end of the half there was a reaction from the home team, who closed the gap with an 8-0 run (39-63 at 29'): coach Ramondino stopped the game. The third quarter is closed by Cannon's free throw, which sets the score at 39-66. In the final period Derthona continues to control the operations, expanding the rotations and containing Trapani's attempt to shorten the distances: the final sees the Lions triumph 57-85. The second match of the championship will see Bertram once again engaged in Sicily, on Tuesday 24 November at 21.00 pm against Orlandina Basket.
