The young Lions of Derthona: Festinese, Ciadini, Mastroianni and Sackey
Vincenzo Festinese, Francesco Ciadini, Davide Mastroianni and Samuel Sackey are the four youngsters joining the Juventus first team.
Having arrived in Tortona in the summer of 2019, Festinese is preparing to begin his second consecutive season with the Lions' jersey: last year, the 2002-born player was added to the first team and was among the protagonists of the Under 18 DNG's run this season regular until the championships stop. Francesco Ciadini, a winger born in 2002, who has been at Derthona since the 2019/20 season, also already boasts experience with the Juventus Serie A2, with whom he was on the bench in some matches of the last Serie A2 Old Wild West championship. Both played - in double membership - the Serie C Silver championship with Olympia Voghera.
In addition to the confirmed players, the Derthona membership group is enriched with two new entries: Davide Mastroianni and Samuel Sackey. The first is a playmaker, born in 2001, he took his first steps in the youth sector of LBL Caserta, a team with which he reached the Under 14 National Finals, before playing in the One Team project, where he played in the Under 15 championships (playing Interzone play-off) and Under 16 Eccellenza. At senior level, Davide boasts experience, in 2018/19, with the New Basket Caserta shirt (militant in C Silver) and with Juvecaserta, a team with which he took part in the Under 18 DNG championship and, in 2019/20 , took the field on five occasions in the Serie A2 Old Wild West championship.
Sackey, born in 2001, grew up in the youth sector of Scaligera Basket Verona, a team with which he played in the Under 16 and Under 18 Eccellenza championships and of which he was added to the first team during the 2019/20 season.

This year their contribution during the season will be invaluable given the number of close matches and midweek rounds: being able to count on four valuable guys like our players will be of fundamental importanceʺ.
