Third victory in a row for Derthona in the championship: the derby with Biella is balanced for its entire duration, intense and full of partials and against partials. In the final five consecutive points from Cannon sealed the success of the Lions. Balanced start to the match, with the two teams not skimping on intensity on the parquet: the Lions tried to create the first break in the match with Sanders' triple (13-9 in the 6th minute), then feeding it with Severini and Fabi. Upon returning from the locker rooms, after a brilliant start by the guests, the Lions further widened the gap with a 5-0 victory crowned by Fabi's triple which made it 41-31. The intensity on the parquet is high, as is the level of contact and competitive spirit, the match is good: Derthona and Biella respond blow for blow, keeping the distances unchanged (49-43 at 28'). In the last actions of the period, Cannon on the counterattack sets the score at 51-44. The start of the last quarter is characterized by the great energy that both teams put on the pitch and the scoreboard is unblocked only by the goals of Tavernelli and Hawkins, which make it 53-46 in the 33rd minute. Miaschi and Laganà bring Edilnol back to a one-possession deficit, before Sanders – just over two minutes from the end – scores an important basket to bring Derthona to 55-50. A three-point play by Cannon, following a tap-in by Wojciechowski, gives Bertram two full possessions, and again the American player scores the score 60-52 with 45 seconds left.
