Tenth consecutive success in the championship for Bertram Yachts Derthona who, without Fabi, Graziani and Morgillo, beat Bergamo thanks to a great defensive and offensive last quarter, prevailing at the siren against the team coached by Calvani. A favorable start to the match for Bergamo, who played with good intensity and fluidity in attack in the first minutes of the match, finding their maximum advantage at 12-7 in the 5th minute, with Easley's basket forcing coach Ramondino to stop the match. In the following moments the Lions close in on the score - taking advantage of Cannon's verve - and end the first half trailing 18-17. Juventus acceleration at the beginning of the second period: Mascolo's offensive initiatives, in penetration, put two possessions apart between the teams (20-24 at 14'): coach Calvani interrupts the operations. After the time-out in Bergamo, Bertram extended further with Ambrosin's triples, before suffering a counter break of 7-0, crowned by the support of Easley, who equalized at 33 in the 18th minute. At the end of the first half the score remained balanced: in the 20th minute Bergamo was ahead 38-35 with a triple from Zugno. In the second half, Bertram got off to a better start, finding the lead in the score, but the game was very balanced and the home team responded basket after basket to their opponents, regaining the lead at 51-49 in the 28th minute with Easley's dunk. The final stages of the quarter saw Bergamo try to extend their lead: in the 30th minute Lombardi led 56-53. At the start of the final period the Lions roared in defense and found good offensive continuity, overtaking with a partial of 0-6 crowned by Cannon. The precision at the line of the team coached by Ramondino allows them to fuel the attack, bringing the gap to three full possessions (58-67) with four minutes to go. Bergamo tries to get closer in the partial, returning to -5 (65-70) two minutes from the siren, but Tortona closes the gap by taking advantage of the unsportsmanlike penalty given to Zugno by seven points. In the final stages the Bianconeri rejected all the home team's comeback attempts and prevailed 67-78 at the final siren.
