The Under 19s return from the National Finals
The Juventus juniors are unable to qualify for the final draw in the national category finals underway in Termoli and Vasto. In the preliminary round, after two defeats suffered respectively against Taranto and Brescia, coach Casalone's boys win at the last minute against Montevarchi thanks to an incredible late bomb from Carosi. But the joy does not last long because at the same time Brescia overtakes, after extra time, Taranto (which was ahead by 8 points shortly after the siren of regular time) condemning Derthona to an early return to the venue. In fact, Brescia closes the group with full points while, in the separate ranking created between Derthona, Taranto and Montevarchi who end up tied at two points, only the difference in goals condemns our boys to fourth position, the only one that does not allow them to advance in this beautiful adventure. Despite the regret for the mockery, praise goes to Tava & his companions, authors of a memorable season which ended with 21 victories and 4 defeats and the historic achievement of qualifying, for the first time in the history of the Juventus club, a youth team for a national final.
