The Under 15s triumph in the Terredimare Tournament in Genoa
Derthona triumphs in the “Terre di mare” tournament held in Genoa over the long Epiphany weekend. For the occasion, the Bianconeri, in addition to the historic core of the local '99-2000s (Sala, Rossi, Magrassi, Veronese, Pernigotti, Santoro, Tonella) were strengthened with some elements on loan from Junior Casale and Accabasket of Alessandria .
To win the coveted tournament, coach Gatti's students prevailed, respectively: effortlessly against the hosts Virtus Genoa 117-32 (Poletti 25 points, Rossi 25 and 10 rebounds); easily with the Tuscans of Virtus Siena by 87-48 (Colli 18, Sala 16, Magrassi 10); narrowly against the Como players of Basket Rovello by 65-61 (Nagari 23, Colli 15) and brilliantly in the final against the Lombardy side of Social Osa Milano by 69-60 thanks to 20 points from Gibertini and 15 from Poletti.
