Product of the San Miniato youth sector, Stefanelli made his debut in Serie B with the La Falegnami Castelfiorentino shirt, with whom he played 27 games at 17' and 4 points on average.
In the following season he returned to San Miniato, being among the protagonists of Blukart's promotion from C to series B with an average of 16.5 points in 28' of use.
He later continued his experience in the club where he grew up, establishing himself as one of the most prolific attackers in Serie B (14.3 points on average the first year, 14.4 in 2016/17, increased to 18.3 in the playoffs).
In his first year in Serie A2, in 22 minutes of use he averaged 5 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist on average, winning the MVP trophy of the Final Eight of the Italian Cup in the category.
