Born in Antwerp on 6 July 1993, Obasohan began his career in the Belgian second division, wearing the Kangoeroes Boom jersey. From 2012 to 2016 he moved to America, where he attended the Alabama Crimson Tide college. His performance grows year after year, until the last season he closed at 17.6 points on average which earned him inclusion in the All-SEC First Team. Retin concludes his NCAA experience with 125 games played.

In the summer of 2016, the Belgian player took part in the Las Vegas Summer League with the Sacramento Kings, before signing in Italy with Sidigas Avellino. In Irpinia he contributed to reaching the Super Cup final, lost against Milan and third place in the standings at the end of the regular season. He also plays in the BCL in Avellino, in which he scores 5 points per game in 14 outings, and is a teammate of Andrea Zerini, which he now finds in Tortona.

The following year he moved to Germany, to Rocker Gotha, a newly promoted team in the Bundesliga, while in 2018/19 he returned to America, playing for the Northern Arizona Suns, a team playing in the NBA G League.

In 2019/20 he is back in Germany, at Brose Bamberg, with whom he plays both the Bundesliga and the BCL. In European competition he averages 9.5 points in the 13 games played.

He then moved to the Czech Republic the following year, signing with CEZ Nymburk. Obasohan contributed to winning the National Cup and reaching the quarter-finals of the Basketball Champions League, a competition in which he scored 13.9 points per game.

In 2021/22, with Hapoel Jerusalem, he reached the playoff semi-finals in the Israeli championship and the BCL play-ins. His offensive performance in this event grows further (14.7 points on average in the 9 games played).

His performances earned him a call from ASVEL Lyon-Villeuerbanne, with which he won the Leaders Cup and reached the Scudetto semi-finals. With the French team he also plays the EuroLeague, a competition in which he scores 6.9 points in 21 minutes of average use. Now Retin arrives at Bertram Derthona to start a new chapter in his career.
