Born in Cocoa Beach (Florida) on March 25, 1982, Christopher Gino Mortellaro he played for the Drury Panthers at College from 2002 to 2004. After finishing his university career, his first overseas experience was in Jesi, in Legadue, in 2005/06.

In the following years, Mortellaro moved between Switzerland (SAM Massagno) and Spain, where he played in the second and third series. Chris then wore the Ferentino (A2) tank top in 2013; after some further experiences in Europe, the center was born in 1982 he played in Italy in the last years of his career.

In 2015/16 he was the protagonist of a great season with the NPC Rieti shirt, with which he averaged over 11 points and 8 rebounds per game. The high level performances earned him the call of Fortitudo Agrigento for the promotion playoffs.

The following year Chris moved to Chieti (A2 Girone Est) where he immediately became a point of reference in the area: his 12 points and 8 rebounds on average make him one of the best interpreters of the role in the championship.

Thanks to his solidity and the continuity of his performances he was signed by the ambitious APU Udine, where he remained from 2017 to 2019. In the last two seasons he was part of the San Severo roster, again in A2 (East Group). Now he comes to Bertram Derthona to start a new chapter in his career.
