Born on August 6, 1998 in Columbia (Maryland, USA), Gorham took his first steps in basketball at Calvert Hall High School, before transferring to Towson for the first two years of his collegiate career. He then moved on to Houston in 2018, where he completed his college career. He finished his senior year at 8.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, being named to the All-American Athletic Conference's second team and named the AAC's Most Improved Player.

Having concluded his adventure in Houston, Justin immediately moved to Europe to begin his professional career. In 2021 he wears the jersey of Telekom Baskets Bonn, in Germany where he averages 9 points and 5.7 rebounds. The following year he played in Israel, with Hapoel Gilboa Galil, with whom he scored over 13 points per match. His performances earned him a call from Lietuvos Rytas, a member of the LKL.

With the Lithuanian team, after finishing the season, he was among the key players in the championship victory – in the final against Zalgiris Kaunas – in 2023/24. His 11.2 points and 5.3 rebounds this season contributed to Lietuvos Rytas' success.
