Originally from Cernusco sul Naviglio, Buffo was one of the key players of Libertas Cernusco, the team with which he won the Under 2016 Scudetto in 15 and was included in the ideal quintet of the event, held in Bassano del Grappa. At the end of the season, the player moved to PMS, before moving - in the last season - to Virtus Bologna. For years on a permanent basis at national youth rallies and tournaments, in 2017 he played in the Jordan Brand Classic, a match that pits some of the best hundred players of each year against each other.

Edoardo was among the young players added to the first team during the 2018/19 season and made his debut in Serie A2 during the match played on the Leonis Roma pitch on Saturday 13 October 2018.

During the 2018/19 season, Buffo took the field in ten games with the Juventus Club shirt in Serie A2, scoring six points.
