Forward Piedmont! Super season for the youth teams of our region
With the dispute in Piombino, last week, of the Under 17 Eccellenza National Finals, the youth basketball season ended which now, as usual, gives way to the various national teams, Under and otherwise.
To us of Derthona Basketball Lab I like, making a quick summary, to underline how the Basketball Piedmont has distinguished himself at every level with his youthful excellence.
Our most sincere compliments for the splendid season go, in absolute chronological order, first to Collegno Basketball e GGS Basketball Project (rare and virtuous example of synergy, born from an agreement between BC Gators, Granda College Cuneo and Pallacanestro Saluzzo), placing among the best 8 in Italy at the Under 15 Eccellenza National Finals in Pescara.
Then it was the turn of the friends/rivals of College Basketball Borgomanero keep the Savoy flag high with a sensational back to back as Vice Champions of Italy at the Under 19 National Finals Eccellenza of Agropoli.
In Piombino, however, it is time to express a little more satisfaction because in the fantastic fourth place at the Under 17 National Finals of the Basketball I go (forgive the out-of-region, but we have been collaborating directly with our Ligurian friends for years now) the prize as top scorer (and inclusion in the best quintet of the event) of "our" stands out Andrjia Josovic.
Last but not least, we want to spend a little self-congratulatory "well done". for us and for our Under 19 boys Excellence, capable, 10 days ago, the only team completely from the youth sector among the seniors, of achieving a well-deserved promotion to interregional B.
Different realities, common philosophies that demonstrate how even in Piedmont, where we work with coherence, competence and dedication for the kids, the results arrive as a natural consequence, without being an "at all costs" objective.
