New positive indications for Bertram Derthona from the final of the 'Carlo Lovari' Trophy: the Bianconeri, despite the defeat in the sprint against Umana Reyer Venezia, showed offensive fluidity and intensity in defense for good stretches of the match. After the sprint start and the central phase of the match in which the team coached by De Raffaele overtakes, the Bianconeri come into contact several times and play for success until the siren. Demonte Harper was the tournament's leading scorer. The next preseason match will be Wednesday 21 September at 20.30 pm at the PalaEnergica Paolo Ferraris in Casale Monferrato.

Fluid first quarter in attack for Bertram Derthona, who after the initial actions gains confidence in the match by finding baskets in quick transition that allow her to reach the double-digit margin and maintain it until the 10th minute (11-23). In the second half, six consecutive points from Harper updated the Juventus' maximum advantage (11-29), before Reyer began her comeback, built on defensive growth and offensive coherence. The run-up of the team coached by De Raffaele was completed with a triple from Freeman, which equalized the score at 35 before the break.

Upon returning from the locker rooms, some offensive gusts from Venezia made it possible to overtake, even if Bertram - led by Candi - remained close in the score. Then five straight points from Frreman at the end of the quarter gave Umana the maximum advantage (55-48 in the 30th minute). A Juventus 0-11, made with precision shooting from outside, at the start of the final period materializes the counter-overtaking (55-59), before the opponent's break signed again by Freeman. This brings us to another sprint finish, the second in a row for Derthona in the 'Carlo Lovari' Trophy: the Lions put their heads back with Severini's triple (74-76) 49 seconds from the end. After baskets from Granger and Christon, the match was decided by Watt's tap-in, to which Filloy was unable to respond at the end. Venice wins 79-78.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the race: “It was a game in which our boys did well, despite the difficulty and tiredness, at making plays that moved the challenge in our direction. Today we found the physical and mental energy to level up from a technical point of view when the match was in Venice's favour. There have been moments where our level of execution, offensively and defensively, is not what we should have at this point, but we expected it given the last period we have experienced. We take the positive things from these two days and come away with some ideas for the technical work of the next period".
