Fimba Maxibasket, Italy Over 60 European champion: three Tortona protagonists
A great result for the Over national teams at the European Championships which took place this week in Malaga: the gold medal won by the expedition was particularly pleasant for the Tortona area Over 60 in the final against Slovenia played today.
They were part of the team roster Enrico Marina e Massimo Falcin, former players of Derthona Basket between the seventies and eighties, while Gianfranco Giani he led the expedition as General Manager of Fimba Italia.
The national team coached by Maurizio Benatti, which also includes some great former Serie A athletes such as Dan Gay and Marco Tirel, has been the protagonist of a perfect roadmap since the opening match. All matches were won by wide margins, until the final ended with a score of 69-39.
A great result for the Azzurri and a special satisfaction also for Tortona, which boasts three European champions Over 60.
