FIBA 3X3 U23 World Cup: Italy's path stops at the quarter-finals
Italy's journey to the 3x3 U23 World Championships being held in Lanzhou (China) ends in the quarter-finals: the Azzurri, which also includes Bertram's playmaker Bruno Mascolo, they surrendered to the strong Russia - the reigning world champion team - 18-16 after overtime and at the end of a hard-fought and intense match for its entire duration.
For Mascolo and Italy the World Cup ended with a record of three victories and two defeats, as well as a place among the best eight teams in the world.
