Federico Meduri is the new Physical Trainer of the youth sector

Bertram Derthona's staff is expanding and is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Federico Meduri for the role of Physical Trainer of the youth sector teams.

ʺI am happy that Federico Meduri has decided to embark on this journey with us – says Andrea Ablatico, President of the Derthona Basketball Lab – and, on this occasion, I want to thank Giorgio Borghi for the good work done last season. Federico boasts important experiences in both football and basketball. I also thank Doctor Giuseppe Giovannetti of the Faculty of Motor Sciences of the University of Pavia who provided an important contribution to the choice of Meduriʺ.

CAREER – Born on 21/03/1989 in Pavia, Federico began his career as an instructor at the AC Pavia football school in the 2012/13 season. In the following two years, Meduri held the position of Athletic Trainer of the first team of Omnia Lungavilla basketball, playing in the Regional Serie D championship.

From 2013/14 to 2015/16 he was University Tutor for the University of Pavia in the three-year “Pre-Post School” project which involved children from nursery and primary schools in the Municipality of Voghera. From 2015 to 2017 Federico was the Head of functional assessments and adapted physical activity at the Sports Medicine Center of Voghera - University of Pavia.

In 2017/18 and 2018/19 he was a Physical Education teacher at the Varzi headquarters of IPSIA Calvi and last season he held the role of Athletic Trainer of Oltrepo Voghera, a football team that played in the Serie championship D.

Federico holds a Master's Degree in Sports Sciences and Techniques and obtained the title of FIP National Athletic Trainer in 2017. Since 2017 he has also been an EMS Certified Trainer (training with electrostimulation), obtained at the EMS Academy in Florence. Now he comes to Bertram Derthona to start a new chapter in his career.

ʺI chose Tortona because it seems like an ambitious club and an environment in which you can work well. I thank the Club – claims Federico Meduri – for the opportunity it offered me: personally I will try to make all my skills available to the kids. I have clear goals and my intent is to build a certain type of application towards work. From the first conversations I had with Massimo Olivieri, Technical Manager of the youth sector, and with Gianluca Mazzoncini, Physical Trainer of the first team, I perceived the great attention they want to pay towards athletic training at youth level. I therefore believe that important results can be achievedʺ.
