The President of the Italian Basketball Federation Giovanni Petrucci, accepting the request presented by the President of the National Basketball League Pietro Basciano, declares the men's Serie A2 Championship concluded.

Having taken note of the measures already taken with which all the regional and national amateur championships have been declared concluded, having noted the permanent epidemiological emergency from COVID-19 throughout the national territory and having consulted, in short, the Federal Council, the FIP confirms having accepted the LNP's request and having taken the measure declaring the 2019/2020 sports season for the men's Serie A2 championship concluded.

This is the press release from the National Basketball League:

“Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro announces that it has just received from the FIP president, Giovanni Petrucci,
official communication regarding the conclusion of the 2-2019 Serie A2020 sports season.
The measure follows those already taken by the FIP, declaring the regional and national championships concluded
amateurs, having noted the permanent epidemiological emergency from COVID-19, throughout the national territory.
Following the daily consultations held during this period with President Pietro Basciano and the LNP,
and having briefly heard the opinion of the Federal Council, the FIP has passed the provision it declares
the 2019/2020 season has ended.
As in place for Serie B, and in compliance with the requirements of the FIP, the Lega representatives
National Basketball Team are already studying proposals for the organization and management of the Serie Championship
A2 2020-2021.
LNP obviously considers LBA an integral part of the consultation table in the planning context
of the logic of future interchange between the Serie A and Serie A2 championships".
