Here is Pietro Ugolini, new reinforcement for the youth sector
Bertram Derthona communicates that an agreement has been reached with Pietro Ugolini, born in 2000, fresh from his experience at Reyer Venezia. The arrival of Ugolini is a further sign of the desire - on the part of Derthona Basket - to strengthen and reorganize its youth sector: the player will be part of the group that will play the Under 18 DNG championship and, in double membership, the C Silver Lombard with the Olympia Voghera shirt. Ugolini is one of the youngsters who will also be added to the first team.
Originally from San Marino, the player stood out in the 2014 Regions Trophy played with the Emilia-Romagna shirt: on that occasion he was noticed by Reyer Venezia, the team with which he has played for the last four seasons. In Venice he qualified several times for the National Category Finals - first Under 16 and then Under 18 - and last season he was called up to the first team for the Basketball Champions League home match against AEK Athens. With his national team, San Marino, he won the Division C Under 16 European Championships in 2015, while the following year he was included in the best quintet of the Under 16 European Championships. He also has several experiences with the San Marino Under 18s and, in 2018, he played in the European Championships for Small States with the senior national team.
